Location of Christmas Island
Christmas Archipelago lies on the main ocean of Hindia or Southern of Java Island or 500km Southern part of Jakarta. Or the distance of Jakarta – Semarang if on the land. It is quite close to Western Beach of West Java. It is exactly lies the -----longitudinal and ----- coordinate. Though it is quite close to Java Island, this island does not belong to Java or Indonesia anymore. It is the effect of western colonialism British and Netherlands involved in the beetle to conquer the Nusantara at the last time. This island belongs to Australia cause of the gift of British to, though formerly this archipelago belongs to Srivijaya, Pajajaran, Majapahit Nusantara with its legend of Nyi Roro Kidul and now Indonesia.

Authority Area of Formerly and Now
Formerly this archipelago is consisting of two islands which is the place of fishermen of Nusantara especially from Java, Sumatera and Bugis. It was the place to sun the fish catcher and the place to take a rest or as a second home before they were homo to the North. The other places like Western beach and Northern beach of Darwin was the place of second of them that the proof the Northern and the Western beaches were the part of Nusantara Kingdom like Majapahit at the last. And the legend is still alive so far in the soul of Nusantara people, especially Javanese about Nyi Roro Kidul besides, Pajajaran and the island, Pelabuhan Ratu and the Island. Nusantara people are abide there; Java, Sumatera, Bugis and China.

But after enter the era of world war II, this island went important for alliance of British, USA,
Netherlands defend the area from Japan and Germany for their military forts. To conquer and to combat the attack from the Pacific Ocean, it needed to build the Hindia Ocean. To block the attacking from Japanese, the British take a part to show off their weapon to conquer Japanese and Germany. The result was many victims from both sides. The proof that the power of alliance existed on Hindia Ocean, Japanese built and dig thousands caves in the Southern of Java and Sumatera Islands. After Germany and Japanese was beat by alliance, so the islands ex alliance were transferred to British to Australia. So far the archipelago is in the protectorate of Australia. Geography
Geographically, this archipelago consists of Christmas and Coccos islands and the other smalls islands which is no name so far. It lies on the ---- longitudinal and on the ------coordinate. And be collimated similarly same to the northern tropic area (Nusantara) Indonesia, Java. It is also has mounts though small, in the central of the island. The core of cobalt, nickel, bronze and steel. Rainy season happened on the month of September to March and Dry season from April to August. Daily temperature tent to warmly. Like the other tropic area.

Relation to Indonesia
It is assumption that the archipelago was the transit of the Nusantara Fishermen from long-long time before, after they caught the fish they sun the fish and take a rest for a moment in the archipelago, before they come back to the North, especially they were from Java, Sumatera, Bugis, and Madura. The traditions are proved so far in the other part of Northern Australia by Nusantara fishermen. Tough here is no written proof to support the tradition, the fishermen habits often done by them in the area. And the legends of them and ancestor of Java or Bugis or Malay there is the supporting proof. Language and culture, even Marionette is alive there.
Huge Potency
This archipelago has a quite huge potency. Strategic potency, this archipelago lies on the cross area of Asia of Northern West Australia. It is crucial for the defend besides the other potency of mine: cobalt, nickel, bronze, steel and tourist Objects. Great amount of fish

Demography
Because this archipelago is too close to or belong to Nusantara archipelago, here; Java and Sumatera, surely this archipelago impossible to avoid the influence of the former emperor of Srivijaya and Majapahit, and the tradition is still keep going on. How to Reach the archipelago?
In order to get the archipelago is not difficult, this archipelago, now is in the protectorate of Governor General Australia. So it surely the main route will be Western of Australia. From Perth to the archipelago too long . in is about 2500 km directly. But if you take the route of Jakarta it will be shorter, it is about of 500 km by charter plane. Or it is possible to take the route of Singapore it is about 1500 km directly from Changii to the archipelago.

In fact, the sea route is ok, but it is very dangerous Hindia wave, the only local bouts or fishermen is suggest to sail on the ocean besides, the huge wave it is also the mystery of the ocean. The facility of the archipelago is quite modern and complete; the equipment of transport, education, entertainment, sports, even casino, here is quite famous across the region. Many tourists come and enjoy the casino after transit from Singapore or vice versa. Entertainment in the area is legal for the visitors. So the tourists or visitors who come to this place considered bring tick pocket. Formerly those who enjoy the casino were the worker of mine, who in the night they need the entertainment. And the Malay groups earn their life by fishing and cultivate the crops, like cassava etc. While the Chine group life by manage the shops and restaurant. Tourism condition in this archipelago is still rely on the night entertainment and Casino which is
Formerly only to facilitate the mine worker, but change to facilitate to the visitors now. It is now even quite popular to across the region and the world. Besides, there is also guaranteed by the beauty of beach; in the Northern and Eastern part of the Christmas Island is exotic to sun bath. Formerly this place is the place for the fishermen to sun their catching before they back to the North; Java, Sumatera, and Bugis. And now the fishermen are decrease because of the role of the government.

Marionette
Marionette in the archipelago is abided like in Java / Indonesia wayang kulit and wayang golek. The ancestors believed that they were from Java fishermen or the other part of Nusantara/Indonesia. This art is established periodically a year. Chinese culture is also life here, barong sai, so the culture is still like the culture life in Nusantara. They are also familiar with batik Java. Tough the archipelago now, in the protectorate of Australia but the culture is still colored by Nusantara or Asia. Relationships Symbol Between Australia and Indonesia
In the era of government of Paul Keating in the 1990’s, relationships spirit with Indonesia was very close. He realizes that his country is directly border with Indonesia. Not only factor of geographic but also the culture of the ancestors in the some border area like Christmas archipelago. Tough the habits of Australia are Europe, but the remaining of Nusantara must be considered as asset of tolerance to the neighboring country role.

Realize the similarity; while Mr. Paul Keating took over as a Prime minister of Australia he took a good chance to make closer the relationships between the both countries Australia and Indonesia. Culture and language
This archipelago the habits of three groups of ethnic that are Malay, China, Hindia and a small group of Europe. In the protectorate of Australia this archipelago use English as a first language and the second language are local ethnic; Malay, China, Hindia. English is spoken daily as a means of international language. And the local language only spoken by ethnic situation only. On other hand, the culture of the communities were very Asia scene. Especially Nusantara / Indonesia; Java, Malay, Bugis, China.

Casino
Casino is the primary tourist object in this island. This archipelago occupies the fourth rank as an exclusive Casino place in the world. Far from distance of noisy of business, it is difficult to reach by the usual boats, but by plane. Casino in this place is exactly for the intern mine worker in order to get relax after work a long day. Especially Europe worker who thirsty and need the entertainment. But on the next development this place change into a center of entertainment which is not only facilitate to the intern worker but also, the other visitors. So the professional management is needed. The other supporting sectors must be set up to support the casino like; restaurants, bar, hotel etc. casino is open every night with the various visitors not only from the part of Australia but also from across the countries; Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia. The visitors will be guaranteed to get the satisfying to waste the money here. Beach
The conditions of beach commonly tiff, but there is sallow in the Northern and in the Eastern part of the island. This beach has white sand, soft. It is suitable for sun bath and surfing but not good enough as in Bali and Nias beach Indonesia. Tough Aussie are often come here merely enjoy the tropic atmosphere.


Parachute
The possibility for parachuting sports can be enjoying here because of the landscape of the island; the mount is enough tiffs, and the tiff beach can increase the adrenaline. Photo parachute

Like the other tropic land. This archipelago also similar the variety of the plants on the Northern; Nusantara/Indonesia; palms, mango, banana, salack, pineapple, cassava etc.

Letak pulau chrismast
Letak pulau crismast di tengah samudera Hindia atau selatan p jawa, sebelah selatan jawa barat 500 km
kira2 jarak sejauh kota semarang Jakarta, jika di darat. Cukup dekat dg pulau jawa. Terutama jawa bagian barat. Tepatnya pada garis LS---- dan BT-----. Walau cukup dekat dg pulau jawa, tetapi pulau ini sudah bukan milik Indonesia lagi, akibat pengaruh luar terutama colonial barat inggris dan belanda yg saling berebut pada waktu itu. Pulau ini sekarang milik Australia akibat pemberian inggris kepadanya. Padahal dulunya merupakan pulau legenda kerajaan pajajaran, kemudian Majapahit atau legenda nyi roro kidulnya. Wilayah otorita dulu dan sekarang.
Sebelumnya pulau ini adalah dua onggok pulau yg merupakan tempat berlabuhnya para nelayan penangkap ikan nusantara. terutama nelayan jawa, bugis dan melayu. Tempat menjereng hasil tangkapan mereka , dan tempat melepas lelah atau rumah kedua sebelum mereka kembali ke utara. Seperti juga pantei barat Australia dan utara dan pantei Darwin, merupakan tempat berlabuh para nelayan penangkap ikan nusantara; jawa, Madura dan bugis. Sudah pasti kuat sekali kalo ini merupakan wilaya kekuasaan kerajaan nusantara tempo dulu. Juga ada perna legenda yg terkait dg pajajaran dg pulau ini, dan Majapahit dg pulau ini. Kemudian nyi roro kidul dg pulau ini. Pelabuhan ratu dg pulau ini. Orang nusantara pon ada di sini, jawa, melayu, bugis, kemudian china.

Akan tetapi setelah memasuki perang dunia kedua pulau ini menjadi penting bagi sekutu dan jepang dan jerman. untuk pangkalan militernya. Untuk menguasai dan mengkonter serangan dari samudera pasific, maka kekuatan samudera hindia harus dibangun. Untuk membendung serangan jepang. Inggris berlombah2 berebut unjuk kekuatan dg jepang , jerman, banyak korban akibatnya, dari pihak2 yg terlibat baik jepang, inggris, jerman. Bukti kekuatan sekutu jg ada di selatan jawa, bahwa jepang juga menbangun kekuatan di pesisir selatan pulau jawa dan sumaterea, berupa ratusan goa di dalam tanah. Setela jepang dan jerman kalah oleh sekutu. Maka pulau2 bekas pangkalan milter ini pun dikuasai oleh pihak pemenang yaitu inggris. Yg pada giliran nya diserahkan pada pemerintah Australia yg notaben jajahan inggris. Dan sampe sekarang pulau ini merupakan pulau protectorat Australia. Geography
Secara geographic, kepulauan ini terdiri dari pulau Chrismast dan Cocos dan pulau 2 kecil lain yg belum jelas namanya.terletak pada garis LS------- dan BT-------- beriklim tropic hampir mirip iklim di bagian selatan pulau Jawa. krena memang dekat dg pulau Jawa. Permukaan tanah, pulau ini mempunyai gununng api walau kecil, di bagian tengah pulau, kaya akan kobalt, tembaga dan nikel, pasir besi.
Angin muson timur betiup pada bulan-------------dan sebaliknya angin muson barat bertiup dari batat ke timur pada bulan ---------- dan bulan. Temperature harian cenderung hanngat terdiri dari dua musim yaitu musim tropic; hujan dan kemarau. Peta Nusantara

Hub dg nusantara
Dipastian sudah menjdi pulau singahan para nelayan sejak lama setelah mereka menangkap ikan mengarungi samudera hindia, dan sebagai tempat mejereng tangkapan mereka sebelum mereka kembali pulang ke utata terutama para nelayan jawa melayu, Madura dan bugis, ini terbukti dg masih terjadinya tradisi menjereng ikan di pulau ini samapi pada tahun-----dan juga termausk di wilayah main daratan Australia.yaitu di pantai barat dan pantai utara Darwin Australia.
Walaupun tidak ada bukti secara tertulis yg menyebutkan adanya hubungan nusantara dg p krismas/kokos akan tetapi kujunngan 2 para nelayan dan adanya legenda2 dan adanya penghuni nusantara di sana. Bahasa dan budaya di sana. Bahkan wayang pon ada di sana.

Potency pulau ini
Pulau ini mempuyai potency yg cukup besar. Potency strategis pulau ini menduduki tempt silang barat daya Australia sangat penting bg Australia untuk pertahanan, selain sebgai pangkalan militer, tp juga penangkal serangan / pengaruh negatif dari luar australi.

Pulau ini juga mengandung potency alam yg cukup besar yaitu kobalt, nikel, pasir besi, tembaga yg cukup besar merupakan potency devisa bg Australi yg penting . selain itu pulau ini juga mempunyai potency ikan yg cukup besar. Demography
Karena pulau ini sangat dekat dg nusantara terutama jawa Sumatra, sudah pasti pulau dapat pengaruh sangat kuat , sealain factor sejarah, Sriwijaya dan Majapahit, dan tradisi yg masih di jaga sampai sekarang.

Dari jumlah penduduk yg ada adalah 13.000 orang. Terdiri dari tiga ethnis penting yaitu; Melayu, China, India , Eropa.

Bagaimana untuk mencapai pulau ini?
Untuk mencapai pulau ini tidak lah sukar. Pulau ini yg sebenarnya sekarang milik protektorat pemerintah Australia. Sudah pasti jalur utamanya adalah Australia barat dari Pert ke pulau itu. Atau dari jalur Jakarta ke pulau ini by charter flight. Atau juga bisa penerbangan khusus dari Singapore ke pulau ini.
Sebenarnya juga bisa ditempuh dg kapal laut tapi jarang terjadi. Karena ombak laut selatan sangat besar, hanya nelayan 2 lokal yg sudah terbiasa sajalah yg biasa berlayar ke pulau ini.

Kondisi pulau ini sudah cukup bagus telah dibangun dg fasilitas yg lengkap oleh pemerintah Australia. Dari sarana transport, pendidikan, hiburan, sport, bahkan kasino di sini sudah cukup terkenal. Banyak para pelancong penikmat kasino yg pernah singgah di Singapore pasti pernah juga singgah di pulau ini. Karena hiburan di pulau ini juga legal bagi para pengunjung. Jadi para pengunjung di pulau ini sudah di pastikan punya uang cukup menikmati. Sebagian besar para pengguni penikmat kasino ini adalah para pekerja /buruh tambang di pulau ini, yg pada malam harinya perlu hiburan. Dan para melayu sendiri hidup sebagai nelayan dan bercocok tanam menanam singkong dan sebagainya. Sedangkan para China membuka toko dan rumah makan. Parawisata pulau ini
Keadaan wisata pulau ini adalah mengandalkan kasino dan hiburan malam yg pada umumnya hanya untuk para pekerja tambang tapi lambat laun juga cukup terkenal ke luar negeri pulau itu, sampai ke singapura dan bahkan dunia.

Selain itu juga ada pantai pantai yang indah ; di bagian utara dan timur pulau ini memiliki pantai yg indah untuk berjemur , dulu merupakan tempat menjereng tangkapan ikan para nelayan tapi sekarang para nelayan sudah mulai berkurang.

Dan pasti wisata alam pegunungan di dua pulau itu cukup indah di puncak sambil menatap pantei dari atas gunung yang indah. Gambar gunung dan pantai

Wayang di pulau ini
Di pulau ini juga ada kesenian wayang seperti di Indonesia /nusantara,juga ada wayang golek. Para penghuni melayu kemungkinan besar mereka dari Jawa cukup mengenal dg kebudayaaan wayang kulit dan wayang golek . dan kesenian inipon di gelar scara periodical di hari hari tertentu. Budaya china pon juga tak ketinggalan di sana juga ada barong sai. Jadi kesenian dan budaya juga mirip sekali dg apa yg ada di Indonesia /nusantara. Mereka juga mengenal batik jawa. Walaupun kepulauan ini termasuk atau menjadi protektorat karena effect perang dunia kedua, namun keduanya masih berwarna asia atau khususnya nusantara. Ya maklum dulunya masih satu rangkaian wilayah kerajaan di nusantara baik itu Sriwijaya atau Pajajaran atau Majapahit. Gambar wayang kulit dan wayang golek , dan barong sai.

Dg adanya kesenian wayang yg ada di sana penulis semakin yakin bahwa penghuni pulau itu dulunya lebih besar dari yg yang sekarang ada ato paling tidak menduduki komposisis penting di pulau itu. Tradisi dan upcara adat orang di sana juga miring atau persis dg upacara adat nusantara.

Symbol persahabatan Australia Indonesia
Pada masa era pemerintahan perdana mentri paul keating, sembangat persahabatan dg Indonesia sangat kental. Beliau sangat menyadari kalau wilayah Negara nya yg saling berhimpitan dg Indonesia, tidak hanya factor perbatsan geografis tapi juga juga budaya kedua Negara. Walaupun kedua Negara mempunyai latar belakang penghuni negeri yg sangat berbeda yaitu Australia = Eropah , akan tetapi sisa originality di setiap wilayah negeri kangguru sangat dan masih ada sisa sisa nusantara. Tak hanya di bagian timur tapi juga di bagian barat yang dalam hal ini adalah Pulau Christmas dan Kokos yg mirip dg jawa , sumatera, bugis dan Madura dan bahkan china.

Menyadari adanya kesamaan itu, waktu perdana mentri Paul Keating menggunakan kesempatan itu dg mengambil wayang pulau Christmas sebagai simbul persahabatan dg Indonesia. Ini berarti bahwa kedua negeri walaupun berbeda budaya tetapi pada hakekatnya mereka , telah lama hidup dekat dg alam nusantara yg sudah lama ada. Contohnya wayang golek dan wayang kulit di kedua pulau itu.

Bahasa dan budaya di pulau ini
Pulau ini didiami oleh tiga kelompok ethnis besar yaitu melayu, china, india, dan sebagian kecil eropa. Karena pulau itu dalam protektorat Gub jend Australia maka Bahasa utama di sana adalah Inggris, kedua, melayu, China, dan bahasa ethnis lain nya. Bahasa inggris dipakai bahasa sehari hari untuk berkomunikasi secara nasional. Dan bahasa local dipakai sebagai alat komunikasi dalam ethnis saja. Sedangkan budaya di pulau ini sangat asia kekali , terutama nusantara dan China. Kebudayaan dan tradisi di sini lebih pada jawa , melayu, bugis dan china.

Casino
Pulau ini yg menempati tempat exclusive, jauh dari keramaian yaitu di pulau kecil di tengah samudera Hindia, yang sulit ditempuh dg kapal biasa, tetapi penerbangan. Casino di pulau ini sebenarnya hanya untuk kalangan sendiri yaitu untuk menghbur para pekerja tambang di pulau agar terhibur menghilangkan penat di malam hari. Terutama para pekerja tambang eropa yg pasti haus akan hburan macam ini , akan tetapi pada perkembangan waktu hiburan ini berkembang dan makin banyak pengunjung dari luar pulau itu, maka menuntut pengelolaaan serius dan pada ahirnya factor-faktor pendukung pun ikut saling melengkapi. Seperti rumah makan , bar, hotel dan sebagainnya. Casino di pulau ini buka setiap malam dg pengujung dari beberapa wilayah di Australia sendiri juga dari beberapa Negara asia: Indonesia, Singapore , Malaysia.

Pengunjung casino di pulau ini dijamin akan puas tak akan pulang sebelum puas menghabiskan uangnya. Berbagai model dan standard permainan Casino ada di sini, jadi tidak hanya di Hong kong, Macao, atau Singapore saja.

Wisata pantai
Keadaan pantai pada umumnya curam dan terjal. Tetapi ada juga yang landai di bagiaan utara pantai. Di pantai inilah terdapat hamparan pantai yang indah, berpasir putih, lembut cocok untuk berjemur, dengan ombak yang besar memungkinkan bisa bermain serfing , tapi agak kurang baik. Selain ke bali Indonesia orang orang Australia sendiri juga sering mendatangi pulau ini untuk menikmati kehangatan pantai tropic ini.

Terjun payung
Kemungkinan untuk wisata terjun payung juga mungkin bisa anda nikmati di sini karana keadaan alam dan gunung yang lumayan curam , bisa memacu adrelain , di pantai yg tejal.
